With a little creative energy, the seat of a recumbent can serve as a a rack for bags. If you are lucky enough to find a bag that mounts on your seat you save on the cost and weight of having to add a rack to your ride.

Recumbent trikes with 26" wheels have a difficult time supporting top-bags -- bags that are intended to be mounted on top of a rear rack.
